About QuintCraft

My name is Lucy Quinton, based in the south of England. I’ve been an avid wild camper and hiker for years, using either bivvy, tent or hammock, and usually as lightweight as I can. I am also a person who likes to make things, and being particular about my kit, I began to look for options on how I could achieve my ideas. Most of the options on the market were not what I wanted in terms of quality of manufacture, weight or adaptability, so I set about designing, developing, researching, prototyping and using my own creations. From that to here and now!

Multi use and adaptability is key for me when designing, as well as quality of materials and construction. I don't over-engineer, but I absolutely do engineer to the worst case scenario. Having kit fail while out on the fells in the winter can be disastrous, and I will not let that happen to anything with my name on.

I have made many roll top bags, drawstring bags, delta peg bags, sleeping bag covers, rucksack covers, bivvy bags, tarps and tarp sails, water carriers and insulated items. I have also teamed up with the legendary Dorothy at Delta Ground Anchors to provide them with bags for their epic pegs that every serious camper should own.

My micro business started on Facebook and grew to where I am now. I still maintain my Facebook page for the sense of community it brings and ease of messaging, but I can also be reached by email.

I buy specialist fabrics direct from manufacturers and also purchase cut offs produced from production runs by premium tent manufacturers. My designs use what I have available to minimise waste.

Using material that would otherwise go to landfill is important for me personally, and I am sure many others that camp. Wild campers adhere to the #leavenotrace principles about minimising our impact on the world.
